Dung Beetle

The urge to create a dung beetle costume followed a performing trip to Egypt where JuggleMania was smitten by scarab art. Is it just for fun? Yes. Is the tenacious furthering of a fetid heap in hopes of attaining greater status a metaphor for the current political landscape? Yes. Making a costume and a rolling ball that stays lit through rain and snow was a fun challenge. A 2023 Regional Arts & Culture Council grant for costume rebuilding was a life saver.
