I love the wind, and have built quite a few pieces over the years that attempted to harness its presence in motion and sound. This piece directly engages that force in its movement. I also love mobiles in general because they have an aliveness to them. They are also a source of delight if the opportunity is there to interact with them. It’s fun to see the empowerment they give people when they realize they can put this thing that’s bigger than them into motion. I’m excited by this design in how it allows me to build a mobile that’s very large but still graceful, seemingly fragile but highly durable, and also highly accessible. Ultimately the biggest expression is one of play: step into it, move it around, dodge it. It’s alive!
