Re-imagine the rhythms of our beloved Pacific Northwest rivers as song and light in this experiential installation at Pioneer Courthouse Square.
What would a river sing? Imagine the seasons and experiences of our rivers told in a story of light and sound: The pulse of the tides, the ebb and flow of the rain, the rushing of water over the falls, and salmon running against the current. Environmental data tells the story of our Pacific Northwest rivers, interpreted as pulsing light, sound recordings from the mountains and sea, and synthesized data-derived music.
