Sea Anemone

Feb 2-3 & 9-10, 6–10 PM

Play with the sea anemone and it will respond by changing color! 5 conductive touch pads are found within its tentacles.

Sea Anemone is an interactive sculpture which explores the form of the sea anemone and its relationship with algae. Sea anemone’s have a symbiotic relationship with algae which impacts the anemone’s coloration. Depending on environmental conditions, a sea anemone can vary in color patterning and intensity. Imagine you, Anemone takes the idea of environmental causation and places the audience as the trigger for change. As the viewer investigates the work with touch, they alter how the work is perceived.
